Liking Lichen! Forest Exploration
Join us Wednesday afternoons in December for learning and fun with science-based activities! This 30-45 minute forest exploration will focus on the symbiotic relationship between a fungus and an algae that results in what we call lichen. We will investigate the different types of lichen that are found at Camp Discovery, and how they act as indicators of air quality. This activity, led by experienced facilitators, is designed for 1st through 5th grade students, and begins at 2:00 p.m. Guardians should remain on-site and supervise their child during play and picnic times (2:45 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.). Don't miss out on this enriching and exciting opportunity.
