Description

Join us at Camp Discovery for another school year of science in nature learning experiences! This class will include using our NASA GLOBE Protocols for Soil Investigations. Students will use tools to collect soil samples from around Camp D for evaluation. We will explore why soil and dirt are different and take a closer look at the components in soil through microscopes. We will also discuss why healthy soil is so important for our environment! 

Our Invitation for Homeschoolers:

Join us this fall for learning and fun with science and nature-based activities!

Each Session will include a 30- 45 minute activity for 1st-5th graders and access to our play and picnic areas.

Led by experienced facilitators, the lessons start at 9:30. Guardians should remain on site and supervise their child during play and picnic times. Gates will remain open until 11:30 for play and picnics.
